[. . . ] It has a new and attractive design and is built according to the European and national standards which guarantee its operation and safety features. At the same time, the used refrigerant, R600a, is environment-friendly and it does not affect the ozone layer. In order to use the best your freezer, we advise you to read carefully the information in these user instructions. Advice for recycling your old applianceIf your newly purchased appliance replaces an older appliance, you must consider a few aspects. Their disposal, while preserving the environment, allows the recovery of important raw materials. [. . . ] Do not use the appliance near heating appliances, cookers or other sources of heat and fire. Do not leave the freezer door open more than it is necessary to put in or take out the food. Do not keep inside fizzy drinks (juice, mineral water, champagne, etc. ) in the freezer: the bottle can explode!Do not eat ice cubes or icecream immediately after having taken them out of the freezer because they may cause „freezer burns”. Never touch cold metal parts or frozen food with wet hands because your hands can quickly freeze on the very cold surfaces. For the protection of the appliance during warehousing and transport, it is provided with spacers between the door and the cabinet (in the front and rear side). These spacers will be removed before putting the appliance into operation. Transport instructionsThe appliance must be transported, as much as possible, only in vertical position. If during transport the appliance was put in horisontal position (only according to the markings on the packing), it is advised that, before putting it into operation, the appliance is left to rest for 12 hours in order to allow the settling of the refrigerating circuit. The failure to to observe these instructions can cause the breakdown of the motorcompressor and the cancellation of its warranty. 2ENExcess deposit of ice on the frame and the baskets should be removed regularly with the plastic scraper provided. The presence of this ice build-up makes impossible to close the door correctly. If you do not use your appliance for a few days, it is not advisable to switch it off. In order to reduce the freezing time, push the button for „fast freeze”. - The fresh food must not come into contact with the food already frozen. - The frozen food you have bought can be placed into the freezer without having to adjust the thermostat. - If the freezing date is not mentioned on the packing, please take into consideration a period of max. - The food, even partially defrosted, cannot be frozen again, it must be consumed immediately or cooked and then refrozen. The frozen food will not be affected if the failure lasts less than 67 hours. After 24 hours since the food was placed inside, please cancel the 'fast freeze' mode by pushing again the button 4, when the orange led goes off. 5Instruction for useDefrosting of the a pplia nc eWe advise you to defrost the freezer at least twice a year or when the ice layer has an excessive thickness. The quantity and the rapidity of ice buildup depends on the ambient conditions and on the frequency of the door opening. We advise you to defrost the appliance when the quantity of frozen food is the least. Before defrosting, adjust the thermostat knob to a higher position so that the food stores more cold. [. . . ] Unplug the appliance from the mains, take out the lamp and replace it with a new one. T h e f o l l ow i n g a r e n o t d e f e c t s Possible noddings and cracks coming from the product: circulation of the refrigerant in the system. Outs ide clea ning• Clean the outside of the freezer by means of a sponge soaked in soapy warm water, wipe with a soft cloth and dry. • The cleaning of the outside part of the refrigerating circuit (motorcompressor, condenser, connection tubes) will be done with a soft brush or with the vacuum-cleaner. During this operation, please take care not to distort the tubes or detach the cables. [. . . ]

1.0 METER FUNCTIONS

3.1 AC Volts

There are two ranges for measuring AC voltage: 200 V and 500 V. For more accurate measurements under 200 volts, use
the 200 Volt setting.

1. Connect the black test lead to the “COM” terminal and the red test lead to the “V/

Ω” input terminal.

2. Set the function/range switch to the appropriate AC V range shown above.
3. Touch the test leads to the circuit under test.
4. Read the value of the measurement displayed.
5. Typical AC Voltage measurements include wall outlets, appliance outlets, motors, light fixtures and switches. When
measuring outlets the specially spaced lead holders allow for single one hand testing

3.2 DC Volts
There are four ranges for measuring DC voltage: 2000m V, 20V, 200 V, and 600 V. For more accurate measurements,
use the lowest range possible without exceeding the value.

1. Connect the black test lead to the “COM” terminal and red the test lead to the “V/

Ω” input terminal.

2. Set the function/range switch to the appropriate DC V range shown above.
3. Touch the test leads to the circuit under test.Touch the black (common) test lead to the negative DC source first and

red (positive) test lead to the “live”source second.

4. Read the value of the measurement displayed. If the leads are reversed a “-“ indicator will appear on the display.
5. Typical DC Voltage measurements include car batteries, automotive switches and household batteries.

3.3 Resistance
There are five ranges for measuring resistance 200, 2000, 20K, 200K and 2 Meg Ohms. For more accurate
measurements use the lowest range possible without exceeding the value.

When measuring resistance always make sure the power is off.

1. Connect the black test lead to the “COM” terminal and red the test lead to the “V/

Ω” input terminal.

2. Set the function/range switch to the appropriate resistance (ohms) range shown above.
3. Touch the test leads to the resistor or non-energized component to be measured. Use the 2000K range when testing

for resistance values in electronic components such as resistors and potentiometer. If the value of the component falls
within the range of another setting, reset the function/range switch to that setting for a more accurate reading.

4. Read the value of the measurement displayed. With resistance measurements, the polarity of the test leads is

not a factor.

5. Typical resistance/continuity measurements include resistors, potentiometer, switches, extension cords and fuses.

4. Battery Replacement
Note:
When the battery’s voltage drops below the operating voltage, the mark “ ” will appear on the LCD. Please
replace the battery.
Caution: When changing the battery, disconnect the test leads from the circuit completely.
1. Remove the screws in the back cover of the tester and carefully separate the back cover from the front.
2. Remove the battery from the contacts, noting the polarity of the battery terminals and contacts.
3. Replace with one fresh 9 volt battery.
Note: Do not use rechargeable or lithium batteries in this unit.
4. Carefully replace the back cover and tighten the screws. Do not overtighten the screws as this may strip the threads

in the tester housing.

safety hazard.

9) Damaged meters are not repairable nor is calibration possible. Damaged meters should be

disposed of.

3.0 Operating Suggestions

1) Set the function/range switch to the proper position before making a measurement. When the voltage is not known, it

MUST be determined that the capacity of the selected range will handle the amount of voltage or current in the circuit
(See #3 under “For Your Safety”).

2) Avoid placing the meter in areas where vibration, dust or dirt are present. Do not store the meter in excessively hot,

Gdt 311 User Manual

humid or damp places. This meter is a sensitive measuring device and should be treated with the same regard as
other electrical and electronic devices.

3) When the meter is not in use, keep the meter turned to keep the battery from discharging.

4) When disconnecting the test leads from the unit, always grasp the leads where the input jacks meet the tester

housing. Do not pull the leads out of the jacks by the insulated wire or transport the tester using the test leads as a
carrying strap.

5)

Do not immerse the meter in water or solvents. To clean the housing use a damp cloth with a minimal

amount of mild soap.

NOTE: With any measurement made by this meter, there will be some fluctuation of the digital display. This is
due to the meter’s sampling method. This unit samples at a rate of 2 times per second, thus the fluctuation of
the readout.
