I know I can buy a replacement X4 but will I need to have the local Ford dealership reflash to the stock tune before I am able to use it or will the back up stock file I created for the original X4 import to the new X4? If you would like to have a “married” Predator, inTune, or Trinity completely reset so that it can be used to tune another vehicle, follow the instructions below:

  1. Call Us at 561-908-0040 x5 .
  2. Make sure you are at your desk with your tuner powered up on USB.
    Note: The tool can be plugged into any vehicle with an OBD-II port (even if it is not a vehicle that is supported by the particular handheld you are using), a home computer with inTune and Trinity, or an AC wall adapter if you are using a Predator.
  3. Simply give your name to the DiabloSport representative that answers the phone, and explain you need to purchase a tool unlock. He or she will explain the procedure from there.
  4. Once the device is reset, that is a good time to update it if necessary. See our Instructions and Manuals page for more information.
